Drawing

High school students will learn, and develop new and existing skills in drawing. Areas of focus in this class include, but are not limited to, still life, drawing in nature, using perspective, proportion, studying light and color, reflection and shadow techniques and textures in drawing.

Some of our work will include the study of some of the Master artists like Da Vinci, Cezanne, and Degas, as points of reference.

Student work will be displayed in the Lobby area for the Spring Concert. Students will also create a Portfolio of their work as a keepsake.

The intent of this class is not only to give the student a solid foundation in drawing technique, but also, to foster the creativity and joy that art can bring to the student.

This course is open to students entering 9th through 12th grade.
